We Welcome and Encourage Parent’s
Involvement at The Bruce Nursery

PARTNERSHIP WITH PARENTS

You, as parents, know your child best therefore, we welcome and encourage parent’s involvement in the nursery. We have an ‘open door’ policy in place therefore a member of staff is always available to listen to your comments and suggestions.

Effective communication between parents and nursery staff is important to provide the best possible care for your child. We would appreciate if you could inform nursery staff of any circumstances, either temporary or permanent which may affect your child’s well being, to ensure your child receives additional support when necessary.

You will be invited to regular parent’s evenings to discuss your child’s development and progress and we hold ‘stay and play’ sessions to allow you to spend time in nursery and join in with the fun and learning that your child enjoys.

Your Child’s Milestones and Achievements

LEARNING JOURNALS & NURSERY APP

Learning Journals is a secure online facility the nursery uses to be able to record your child’s individual milestones and achievements. For you, this means you can log into your child’s profile to view their photographs and observations. We encourage you to comment, contribute and upload your child’s achievements and learning at home.

You will be kept informed of nursery events and news through our Nursery App and there is also information and news displayed in the playrooms.
