A warm welcome to The Bruce Nursery
Choosing a nursery is an important decision for you and your family, therefore we hope the following information will answer your questions about our aims and standards of childcare and learning to enable you to have complete confidence that you are making the right choice.
The Bruce Nursery was established in 1981 and provides high quality care and pre-school education for children aged 6 weeks to those not yet attending primary school in a relaxed, caring environment by qualified and experienced nursery practitioners. We promote open-ended natural play to enable the children to learn through curiosity and discovery.
Location:
The Bruce Nursery is conveniently situated in a residential street in the West End of Aberdeen. It is close to the business and commercials areas of the city and is accessible by both car and public transport.
The Garden:
Our safe, secure garden offers a variety of experiences for all age groups of children. The all weather surface allows the opportunity for your child to use the garden every day. The garden is fully enclosed providing a safe area for everyone to enjoy the fresh air and exercise.
The Nursery:
- Open Monday to Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm, 52 weeks a year.
- Is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 1st and 2nd January only (or the elected public holidays if these fall at the weekend)
- Is in partnership with Aberdeen City Council to provide 1140 hours of funded hours for 2, 3 and 4-year-old children.
- Offers online Learning Journals so you can track your child’s progress.
- Offers the School App for Parents to inform parents of nursery events and activities.
- Nutritious, hot meals freshly prepared daily on the premises.
